Holdfast Bay Libraries invited me to offer an all-day writing workshop at the Brighton Civic Centre in September 2022. It was well attended and received. I thank Christine Kennedy of the Glenelg and Brighton Libraries for hosting the occasion in the wonderful Kingston Room.
Writing Tips & Tools: A Workshop Outline
The workshop had as its central focus character development in action and dialogue and how to think outside the box when it comes to settings. The introductory slide of the mini-PowerPoint below shows my recent publications, followed by a friendly get-to-know-you warmup with lots of laughter and fun. At the request of the Library, the last segment was on writing apps and self-publishing.
